Meet the Founder

FormelyAI was founded by a productivity engineer who spent a decade helping teams do more with Microsoft Office and modern AI — and who grew tired of watching good people get poor results from powerful tools.

A background in real Office work

Before building FormelyAI, our founder worked as a data and operations analyst, building Excel models, Power BI dashboards and automated reporting for finance and manufacturing teams. Week after week, the real bottleneck was never the software itself — it was knowing how to ask for what you needed, whether from a colleague, a formula or, later, an AI model.

That hands-on experience shapes every tool on this site. The Office AI prompts are not abstract templates dreamed up in a vacuum; they solve problems we have personally faced at the desk, from broken VLOOKUPs and messy imports to last-minute executive decks that had to be right the first time.

Why FormelyAI exists

When large language models arrived, it was immediately clear they could save professionals hours every week — but only when used well. Most people struggle to write effective prompts and end up with generic, flat output, then assume the tool is the problem rather than the request.

FormelyAI was created to close that gap with practical, tested prompt patterns and honest education. Instead of selling hype or shortcuts, we wanted to give people a structured way to turn a vague idea into a precise brief — and to understand why that brief works so they can repeat it on their own.

Our promise

We publish only original content, credit our sources, and never pretend AI is infallible. Where AI has assisted in drafting, a human has reviewed and verified the result, and we say so openly.

Above all, our goal is to make you genuinely more capable, not dependent on a black box. If a prompt or guide on FormelyAI helps you finish a task faster and understand it better, we have done our job. If it does not, we want to hear about it so we can fix it.
